aluminum to iron drums

Transmission: 700-R-4
Axle/Gears: 2.73 open
aluminum to iron drums

my car has aluminum drums ,and theyre shot.NOW I find I cant buy the aluminum ones,so are the iron drums a direct replacement?? they are quite a bit thinner at the axle flange, than the aluminum ones.what gives??

they are a direct replacement, but the wheel will be in about 1/8".
