Brakes pulling hard right - then went completely out...what happened?

I was driving home and the car started pulling hard right, as if the front right brake would not release....so I stop get out and take a look and that's definitely the problem it's hot. I'm a couple miles from home and figure I can make it.

I do make it, but about 10 minutes after I shut the car off, I heard a loud hissing noise, and a large amount of smoke released all at once out from the right from wheel. Now I have no brake pressure at all...pressing on the brake pedal and it just goes right to the floor.

So....I know you guys can't see it, but most likely, what did I screw up, and what parts did I most likely break?

Looking to get an idea before I take it somewhere...because I'll have to get it towed there, and if it's a good chunk of change to get fixed, I may just let it sit for awhile.
89 Trans Am

Thanks

Sounds like (a) your rubber hose failed, such that it blocked itself internally (which is how they usually fail, as opposed to bursting like you'd think) and then (b) it kept the caliper applied while you continued to drive the car anyway, and then (c) the caliper got like red-hot and failed.

Can't begin to imagine how this involves "get it towed there"... all you need is a hose and a caliper. About $25 of parts and around 15 minutes of labor, at least half of which is jacking the car up. That's how trivial of a repair this is.

Although, I'd STROGNLY suggest doing whatever you do to that side, to the other side as well. Always do the same things to both sides equally so the car stays matched on the 2 sides. So, $50. Still hardly even as much as a night on the town.

Thanks, much appreciated!

buy some brake fluid, too.. i'd also take a close look at the rotor on the side that failed- they tend to warp and/or crack when they get really hot..

Even if you somehow destroyed that caliper, a new caliper is all of $15 with a core back when I did mine. MAYBE it's $20 these days, cant be much. Its sucks and it's frustrating but not a big deal. I would imagine the brakes overheatedo n that side and caused that line to burst. The smoke is most likely from brake fluid being all over the place, and you will want to find out where it's coming from. If the line burst, a new brake line will solve the problem completely. But it's possible the piston seal burst as well considering how hot it may have gotten. This is where a $15-$25 new caliper from the parts store is your friend.
