rear calipers reset procedure?

Hi all.
Just restoring an 84 TA and have just rebuilt the rear calipers with new seals.
Pistons are back in and at the bottom of their travel.

When I put the pads in, do I press the brake pedal first or operate the emergency brake first to get the pistons into position?

Sorry for basic question!! Manual not arrived from US yet, to here in the UK!!

Thanks.
Andy.

Re: rear calipers reset procedure?

You'll need to bleed the brakes first so that will set it up as required.

Thanks for reply.
Bleeding brakes done already.

What do you guys do after replacing the rear pads? Just press the brake pedal a few times to get the pistons in the right place or pull handbrake lever up a few times?

I am aware of the TSB for the early disc brakes setting up, but ..........

Andy.
