rear disc swap question....
I'll be buying a strange s60 rear here soon and they come standard with lt1 style backing plates for the PBR caliper swap, my factory 10 bolt was a drum brake unit. My question is can i use the same ebrake cables on the car(drum brake) for the pbr calipers? I know i need to get a disc/disc prop valve....car is an '86 with the adjustable tunnel mount ebrake setup.

Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: rear disc swap question....
The front cable (back to the "equalizer" thing), yes; the rear ones, no.
You don't need to change the combo valve. The hydraulic requirements of the PBR system is similar enough to drums that in fact, the factory used the same valve in most years.
My 83 didn't need a change when I swapped PBRs into it.

Re: rear disc swap question....
For best brake performance, I'd use the appropriate valve. IIRC, GM made valves for disc/drum, disc/disc (Delco-Moraine) and disc/disc (PBR).

Re: rear disc swap question....
thanks for the info guys, i kinda figured that with the e-brake cables. I'll use the disc/drum prop valve initially and see how it works, if i feel like it could be better, ill get a disc/disc prop valve....just wont hurt to try the one thats already one the car now. Anyone has a part# or interchangeable rear ebrake cables for the pbr swap with the tunnel mounted ebrake setup??
