Aluminum Brake Drums

So I just swapped my rear diff from drum to disc and now i have a pair of Aluminum Brake Drums and im wondering if they are worth money to sell or are they just scrap metal, nothing is wrong with them.

I saw a guy trying to sell his on eBay and im still trying to pick my jaw up from the ground, selling a used brake drum sounds just messed up to me, but strabger things have happened

Hey, if you've got em, don't need or want em, and somebody else will give you money for em, I'm not going to stop you from taking it...

Go for it. Only way you'll know is to give it a try. Don't expect miracles, but at this point, anything you can get, is more than you had before.

I've got some too. Nothing really special. If they are in decent shape and you shined up the outside really good someone may give you up to $50 for them to spruce up the rear. I wouldn't.

Re: Aluminum Brake Drums

They clean up real good!

I'm not sure if they offer any performance advantage over iron ones, other than being lighter.

Re: Aluminum Brake Drums

Around my area they will bring $30-50 per drum. Lots of people still want them.

I buy everyone I see at the pick n pull yards that charged $10 each for them, then turn around and sell them on CL for $30 each

I have seen them on ebay for $200 each before
