How to reassemble drum brakes?

So my rear wheel cylinders were leaking,so I'm in the middle of changing them. I got new shoes to go with them sense the other ones were covered in brake fluid. I'm having a major problem putting the whole assembly back together. I've never done drum brakes before so I don't know. I need to know what order I should put things back together to make it easiest.

Always do one side at a time leaving the other for visual reference.. Should be a pic in the manual or google images.. very common setup.. As mentioned in one of your many posts.. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/brak...ear-wheel.html

I understand where all the pieces go,but my problem is in what order should I put them back on to make it easiest? What I tried doing that ultimately failed was,I attached my parked brake, put the middle "strut" inbetween the shoes. Put the shoes' nails and springs on,put the top return springs on,put the self adjuster and spring on,put the star wheel on,and the lower spring. It took me forever to do all that, cause it seems like this is all a balancing act,and I didn't do it properly. Not to mention my rear shoe is not seated properly, and my self adjuster isn't lines up with the star wheel. Because of this I can't even get the drum on. I have my star wheel backed off completely too,but for some reason the shoes aren't coming together to fill that gap. I've tried shaking, wiggling, pulling, and tapping in every way. Nothing helped.
