Rear Drum removal...

I need to change my brake wheel cylinder, which is a PITA enough. But I am running into prob removing the drum. I can get it to wiggle off about 1/2", and then it stops. It seems to be catching near the 12 oclock position. E-brake is off, even took the car for a spin, putting in foward and reverse to try to break it free. Even took the route of a BF hammer. Still no luck. Missing something?

I had the same problem. Had to use a piece of 2x4 and smack it with a big hammer against the drum all around the back edge until it finally came off.

Turn the adjusters down through the holes in the backing plate. It sounds like your brake shoes are stuck in a groove in the drum, or that the lip of rust is very steep and the shoes are keeping it from sliding off.

Re: Rear Drum removal...

It'll have knock outs. Drum brake parts kits have the rubber plugs to snap back into the holes.

Re: Rear Drum removal...

My adjuster was seized, which is why I had to use brute force...

Then it definitely, absolutely, with 100% certainty, does have. Look for an oblong, rubber plug in the backing plate. Or like Drew said, there are oblong knockouts. They all have it.
