6 piston 13" in a 16" wheel

I know I`ve been asked this a lot over the years " Whats the biggest brake you can fit in a IROC wheel?" My new answer is this, I know I`ve heard of guys talking about doing these but never saw anyone do them. C4HD rotor and a Billet narrow 6 piston Wilwood.

These have even more spoke room than the FSL brakes but the cost is higher on the calipers. I`ll update with install pictures if the customer offers me any!

Well, I did this 7 years ago! Good looking kit, there!

2 pc curved vane slotted rotors w/alum hubs.
First pic is mock up (not correct directional).

Behind the wheels:

Brakes are fantastic. Road America is a big fast track (clockwise): I'll be there this Sunday for the Indycar race. I pounded hard on the brakes and used up a new set of BP-10's in one day (3-25 min sessions). Almost scored the rotor on driver's front, outside pad. You can see the even wear from the 6 piston:

Whose hubs? Also is it a standard third gen bearing or a 1LE? (correct me if I'm wrong but there is a difference yes?).

The hubs are cut down 3rd gen rotors, these have the std set 34 bearing but we can bore it for the set 3 if desired

Re: 6 piston 13" in a 16" wheel

I have the cut down / homemade hubs on my Camaro presently. Needed when I did the LS brake swap a few years back.
I was thinking the hubs in the pictures above were aluminum which is the next step I'm considering. Are the SET 3 bearings compatible with a standard 3rd gen spindle or is the spindle diameter larger as well?

Same spindle, the 1LE was just a stock spindle modified for the C4 brakes basically so the set 3 does fit no problem on the std spindle.
