Need advice on combination valve ,changing from a PV2 to a PV4
1987 Camaro-I have the disc/disc combination valve that I want to install for my new disc brakes but the existing lines from the master cylinder to the old combination valve have different size nuts on the flair fitting , I need the conversion kit(above) but I need to know the size and IFF of both the old lines (2) that's in the 87 and the 2 new inlet on the DISC/DISC combination valve.
Re: Need advice on combination valve ,changing from a PV2 to a PV4
I'm wondering , there is 5 inlets that you plumb into your brake system on the disk/disk(PV4) combination proportioning valve that I'm trying to install and they look like they are all different then the brake line that I have in there now which has a disk/drum proportioning valve (PV2). , is there a disk/disk proportioning valve that will fit the existing brake lines that are in the 87 now?

What brakes did you install?
Prop valves are tuned differently for every car. I'm not sure a prop valve meant for a truck is anywhere near the characteristics needed for a Camaro. And if you're going to all the work of changing every fitting then it might be nicer to have an adjustable Wilwood prop valve when all is said and done.
I might just use the stock combination valve and see what happens. At least it will connect up without any hassle. And you can change the internal spring to increase pressure to rear brakes if needed.

First read the thread that I linked for you earlier. That'll give you a high level understanding of what's happening when you change the spring. Then I can run a couple calcs for you if you want. Or you can run your own calcs if you think that's what fun is on a Friday night. Some of us do....
