Re: Brake Hose Size

There are 2 possible front calipers for that car that year. Which one do you have? Cast iron, or aluminum? There are around 1000 times as many Fe as Al, so the odds are pretty strong, but not 100% / 0% either.

Re: Brake Hose Size

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 21 1/2" long brake hoses are for the aluminum PBR front calipers (1LE) and the 19" are for the Delco cast iron calipers, with OP's car being an 89 IROC-Z I would hope that it had the PBR's but it's certainly possible he's got the Delco's.
Fonso0812 you got a 1LE code on your RPO sticker? Could do a quick magnet check?

Re: Brake Hose Size

I used AC Delco 18J618 and 18J617 with my cast iron calipers. Both were 21 1/2". The length is good and they fit the first time with no leaks, I did grind down the edges of the end where the banjo bolt goes to get a very nice clean fit into the caliper area, maybe I had to because I got the wrong ones? It wasn't much, not really a big deal.
