Drum to disc rear end

I have a 1992 Firebird v6, the original 3.1 died and its getting a 3.4 from a 1994 4th gen. Ill also use the rear end from the same car which has a limited slip diff and most importantly, disc brakes. Most info I read about 4th gen rear end swaps seemed to be about cars that already had disc brakes originally. Does anyone know if I can use my original handbrake cables, the cables from the 1994 Firebird or totally different ones? I have to pass annual inspections so having a handbrake that works is a good idea.

Re: Drum to disc rear end

Supposedley al lthat works... you just need to keep the 4th ge ncables though and hook it up to the 3rd gen body.

You will probably need a new proportioning valve as well...

The rear will be 2 inches wider than the 3rd gen so wheels wil lstick out
