1988 GTA parking brake question
I have a 1988 GTA WS6
when I bought it, it had no parking brake cables.
rock auto shows two parking brake listings for disc brakes. With and without performance brakes. I assume it has performance brakes, but would like a little insight

Re: 1988 GTA parking brake question
Easy way to find out is check your SPID in the center console glove box and look for J65 which is regular rear disc brakes. Another way is if the driver side rear caliper has a hard line going to the caliper or a soft rubber hose, if soft someone may have converted to performance brakes and not finished with the e brake.
Also the caliper will be cast iron for regular Delco morraine discs and aluminum for performance package. Check rock auto or another parts place for pics and compare if in doubt.

It’s unlikely you have the performance brakes stock unless someone swapped over to them, it’s different than WS6 package which you have if it’s a GTA.

I doubt they were swapped unless you have an early 88.. late 88 got them
