9 Bolt backing plates
Hey all, I recently picked up a 3.45 9bolt. I am looking at swapping it into my 1990 GTA and I was told that I would need different backing plates in order to use my stock PBR brakes. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Where would I look for these? Thanks in advance...

Re: 9 Bolt backing plates
Yes that is correct. They are different from the far less uncommon 10-bolt ones. There are 2 types, conveniently known as "early" and "late". The "late" are considered "better".
I have no clue where to get them, other than off of a late 89 9-bolt. No one makes repops of them anymore, to my knowledge. I could be mistaken though.
Yes I have a set but they're not for sale.

Re: 9 Bolt backing plates
Iirc, i have seen 10 bolt brackets used on the 9bolt, just have to rotate it and drill new holes. Maybe even slot them.
i have 9bolt brackets on my big bearing 9inch
