oh crap.

I thought you were going to go all the way. Its time for someone else to enjoy it. I have had a lot of cool cars, few have given me this much enjoyment. My first car was a 67 RS convertible, and I bought a couple of new Camaros back in the '70's. In 1982, my company designed the Indy 500 logo and sold the rights to Raceway Services in Canoga Park, CA. Then in the mid '80s I made many trips to Mich. Intl Speedway and catching the IROC races the day before the Michigan 500. I have pics of Earnhardt, Labonte, Pruitt and Al JR. all behind the wheel of different colored IROCs. I drove a Red 1986IROC out of Dan Young Chevy (Indy) that had the (Simon and Simon) removable top. Dan Young owns one of the 2 original pace cars (not festival) that were used in the 1967 race.

If it doesn't make the reserve- I'll just keep it. Maybe when I'm an old geezer some young kid will ask me how much $ I want for it!

added more pictures to the link tonight. Ebay also has a stunning red IROC from California with 19k. reserve not met at $11k +. Without a doubt his is nicer, but you would kill yourself for driving it. Just open a beer and look at it in a garage.... Mine can be driven, and it's less money.

Man that car is nice my buddy has a white one 19000k with gray leather 5speed and every option, he is also the original owner.Drives it once a year just to burn a fule off ,some fun that is . I would put my self in the hole and buy your car ,but it just the wrong color for me .
This is a bad week for ebay a lot of verts on thier . I am sure you will get at least 10k for that car , But maybe end it and put it back up in a month (or just keep it for a few more years). I look all the time and thier are never manual verts on thier for what I think you are asking in that shape .Good luck

iroc convt

took off the covers, updated the insurance, and stuck on the plates started it up. There is nothing like it on the road. The IROCS will probably be the next collectable to the first gen. But it's going to be another 10 years. The 19k mile ones are going to be someone's retirement.

HA HA Ebay

The reserve was and is a secret. After I took the cover off, plated, insured, and drove it, I became indifferent about selling it. The big auction houses are basically out of muscle cars to auction. In fact some of the same cars go through every year. I predict the 70's TAs, Z28s, Corvettes, and later models have increased or will increase in value because of this. We're seeing in increase in value for the Third Gens as I write. 3-4 yrs ago, my 1990 IROC Z Convertible was worth 5k, just another used car. Now it's gone up, I'm not sure if it has doubled or not, obviously the reserve wasn't met. The cost for a new (hot) car has almost doubled in the last 6-7 years, and will probably double again which will drive the market. The Speed channel isn't showing the '70's and '80s ala Barrett Jackson. B-J surprises me with the selling of customs and one-off's, which break the old school rules of collecting cars. If you have a thirdgen in nice shape, it is going to be like a nice stock with an inflation hedge. I think the third gens, and the Turbo GNX will be the next hot collector pieces. Third Gens are like the old 50's Chevies, they made millions of them, guys rodded and tore them up. The few that still exist are worth some cash.

Thanks to Giancarlo and other members who bid~!

So as the TV show says "Dont Crush Them, Restore Them".
