you can find a roller body in just as good of shape for alot less, this car needs to stay the way it is,
its a very nice Thirdgen Neil, if i didnt have my wifes cobalt we are paying for i would have had the means to buy it and could keep my RS as my daily, oh well, whoever gets it will be very happy man very nice work

Happy New Year,..and I'll jump on the bandwagon and say,.."I can't believe it's not sold yet either". But,..with money being tight everywhere...the only way currently to get any real money ..IS to basically part it out..a) rolling chassis for $3750.00,..and b) $6500.00 for the "427",..w/trans+all the extras. I've seen a lot of nice machinery being put up for sale for a "fraction" of what it's worth..damn shame....recessions suck!.. Good luck with your sale Neil.

Thanks everyone. I feel it's a fair asking price even in the current conditions and I won't give it away. I'll just continue to have fun with it until the right buyer comes along.

Great looking car Neil! Had a couple of questions. How did you get the car to sit so low? Does it still have the stock spring locations? Just curious, I couldn't get mine that low. Thanks, Mike. Free bump.

Re: 1987 Camaro IROC-Z, 35K Original Miles, 427ci
.....edit....
"I do not have the original T-5 parts, but the pedal bracket is still the original 5-speed piece and the hole for the clutch master cylinder could still be reused. I thought about converting the auto to a T-56, but it would require custom headers and fab work to clear the bellhousing and crossmember."
that should answer the question better lol

The car has been lowered via lowering springs. Rears are Eibach Sportlines, fronts are cut stock springs.

I'm going to give you a bumb and be a bandwagoner but damn...... that is.... well immaculate. everything is so clean and so well put together. your workmanship is excelent. there just arent enough good things to be said about this build. i personally would never be able to part with it. you must have some other really nice rides. good luck finding a new owner for it.

Re: 1987 Camaro IROC-Z, 35K Original Miles, 427ci
The car has run 11.9@116 at Englishtown right off the street during Power Tour (normally apsirated). That was with a 1.74 60'.
I sprayed the car 1 time at a local test and tune. On a 100-shot, it ran 7.3@99 on an 1/8 mile track with a very soft 1.85 60'. 7.3 in the 1/8 = low 11's in the 1/4 mile.
These times were on Nitto 555's coming off the line at near idle and 1/4 throttle. Add a set of MT's and you've got a 10 second car.

It's a shame you aren't closer, I'd sell my 86 Iroc and 73 Dart and buy this thing. Also, you said you wouldn't recommend as a dd, if you took it 1700 miles, I'm sure it would make a great dd for someone used to driving that style of car daily.

The car got a brand new battery and some carb fine-tuning this past weekend. It's running great. I will consider all legitimate offers.

You're right, it's a steal. I put the car up for sale about a year ago at $11,500 and I'm at $10,500 now. A fair price for a great car. Just a tough time to sell anything.

I will consider trades for wave runners or late model low-mileage cars in immaculate condition.

Other than possesing a time machine that could bring you back to say....1995 when the economy was decent, I don't know what to suggest.
This economy obviously plays a large part but....with the great summer we've been having, at least in the northeast, I can't believe it hasn't sold. You're already giving it away at $10,500. Maybe include a kidney and your first born with the sale?
I noticed the open to trades offer. That should open up alot of potential deals/offers I think.. Nice boat? Timeshare in the carribean? Motorcycle + cash? Just be happy your house hasn't been on the market for 13 months with 4 price drops like me, lol.
Good luck Neil.
