Engine: LO3
Transmission: T-5

1990 Flame Red RS $5000
Up for sale is a 1990 RS with a 305 TBI and 5spd. The car is Flame Red Met. with gray interior.
Exterior,
3" cowl hood
5" Hawks spoiler
Paint rated on a scale of 1-10 as a overall 7
Polished IROC wheels
Nitto tires with good tread
New brake pads
All new weather striping
New front turn signals
New GM fog lights (still needs to be wired to work)
Smoked taillight covers
Interior:
The interior I believe will be what is most impressive to a person looking for a 3rd gen. It's clean, well taken care of and looks nearly as good as it did when it was new. It Has new carpet and as mentioned before all new weather stripping. All the yellow print except for the headlight switch and turn signal are like new. All the interior pieces are in great shape. The seats are original and show some wear and fading but are over all in good shape with no rips. Headliner doesn't sag and the dash pad which is prone to cracking is in perfect cond.
Performance:
K&N 13x4 air filter with K&N extream filtered air lid
Edelbrock intake port matched to TB
CFM ported Throttle body
2" CFM throttle body spacer
350 injectors
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge
March under drive pulley
Hedmen coated hedders
Hedmen Y-pipe
Flowmaster cat back
Rear end:
Moser 28 spline axles
Eaton posi
Motive 3.73 gears
T/A diff cover
Suspension:
36mm Front sway bar
24mm rear sway bar
Eibach 1.5 lowering springs
Other:
BMR subframe connectors
Earls steel braided fuel lines
Dual gauge pod with A/F ratio gauge and oil temp gauge
Over the valve cover MSD wires
Chevy smooth top bow tie valve covers
OEM Firebird cup holders
B&M short throw shifter
New Alternator
The bad:
- Transmition is my biggest problem. I don't know if it needs a new clutch or master slave cylinder but once the transmititon warms up it gets hard to put the car in gear, and at a stop with the car in gear the car will creep forward. So apparently the clutch is still contacting the flywheel even with the clutch pedal fully pushed in. Again it only becomes a problem once the car has warmed up. When it's cold it shifts perfectly.
-Steering column is loose.
-A/C blows cool, not cold. I believe when it was converted to R134 the orphus tube wasn't changed to the correct sized orphus tube required for R134
-Hatch motor doesn't work. Hatch has been modified to work without the motor.
-Factory radio works but need to be refurbished, it makes the front right speaker sound muffled, and doesn't produce sound in the right rear speaker. With my other head unit all speakers work great so it's got to be the factory radio
-Speedometer is off since ive installed the 3.73's last Feb.
The odometer reads 220,000 however the motor has 60,500 since a rebuild in 2002 which i have receipts for. $5000

Re: 1990 Flame Red RS $5000
Thanks Airborne11b, I have a very strong feeling it's something related to the clutch. I never considered the throw out bearing before though. Thanks again for the input, it's good information to have.
thirdgenSS, i didn't see an email. Sounds like you got a sweet gsxr but im unable to do any trades unfortunately.
