My loss due to frustration is your gain. I'm calling it quits on this project. I'm selling my '91 RS. 305tbi, 5 speed. IROC hood. Hurst billet shifter, miscellaneous interior parts and an extra complete 10 bolt rear end with 3:73/Posi. Left the hood up and TB uncovered and it stormed. Got water in cylinders and I can't get at the plugs to pull them to purge the cylinders so I can get it running. Car looks blue in the pic, but it's actually Teal. Come and get it! I've only had the car about a year. It's been hit once in the right front sometime in the past. You can see some bondo on the passenger side door where there is a chip in the paint. I don't believe there is any rust on it and the undercarriage is pretty solid. I just decided I don't want to mess with a computerized, smogged up car and went out and bought a 70 Nova to work on next.

 

How long has the water been sitting in the cylinders?? How well did it run before you left the hood up and TBI open?

My 92 was left outside the same way (carbed tho) by the last owner and the water set for a few weeks... Motor lasted 2000 miles then blew up.. So im just wondering how it ran before hand

Miles? Tires? Interior pics? Chassis pics? Looking to add a 2nd camaro to my driveway so im intrested.

 

It's been a few weeks now. I went out last weekend to try and pull plugs so I could purge the cylinders and discovered just what a PITA it is to do plugs on one of these things. Never did get it done. I've got plugs, oil and filter sitting in the back seat of the car.

The car ran great before that. I used it as a daily driver until I noticed an exhaust leak on the passenger side someplace in the smog junk. That's why I pulled the air cleaner in the first place. Actually, I didn't leave the hood up, it's a Z hood and the louvers aren't quite mounted right and the rain got in thru them.

 

Just gotta be persistant and use a ujoint on your socket. If I were you id do exactly as your planning on but dont give up and try to get that sucker started maybe be alrite.

 

How many miles are on it.
