1988 Camaro Convertible
*SOLD*
88 Chevy Camaro Convertible
*REBUILT TITLE*
I bought it this way, and had no problems registering it in the state of Florida. Just wanted to put it out there right away. I feel I have adjusted the price accordingly.
Car is located in Fort Myers, FL
Body
Sprayed in Viper Yellow with gray trim…. Not the best paint job either.
Solid floors
Top in good condition, window is starting to fade though.
Custom all red grid tail lights
Frame/latches from a 92 convertible
Needs weather stripping
Spohn SFC’s have been welded in (Perimeter style)
Alston SFC’s have been welded in (inboard style)
(Car rides like a hardtop, minimal cowl shake)
Doors open and close easily, but the glass does rattle since the sweeps are shot.
Sound deadening throughout the interior
Tonneau cover is missing the mechanism to release the center pin of the top….. (Have spare tonneau cover with the cable release though)
Suspension
Eibach Pro-kit
KYB Shocks/struts
Edelbrock LCA’s and Adjustable PHB
Wonder bar
34/24mm sway bars
LCA Relocation brackets
3.42 10 bolt posi disc rear (28 spline axles)
Brakes
LS1 Front and rear brakes (yes, the e-brake works)
Wheels
91/92 16” Camaro wheels (clear coat is cracking)
Tires are worn Firestone Firehawk tires 245/50/16
Interior
90-92 Dash swap, all gauges work
The AC Controls default to the defrost setting…. This is recent, and I haven’t felt like dealing with it.
AC is not complete, and will need pieces to work. Heater works good though
140 mph gauge cluster with McEwen White overlays
Gray Seats from 90-92 camaro, some wear on the drivers side bolster
New carpet in the passenger compartment. It is darker than the seats/door panels.
Dash Pad is not cracked!
Drive train
vortec headed 350 with a ramjet intake manifold on it. Has a mild cam and approximately 40k on the rebuild, and I do have receipts from the build. This really needs to be tuned, but runs decently in its current state. Mainly needs the idle tables worked on or the injectors replaced…
T56 from a 95 Z28 with a Pro 5.0 shifter,
SLP Clutch
Replaced the Hydraulics 4 yrs ago
Spohn X-member and tq arm.
Running a 7730 ECM and harness from a 91 Camaro with NVSRAM for programming. No burning chips, just tune on the fly through the ALDL. I am including my laptop, cable and tuning software in the deal too.
Exhaust
1/75” SLP Headers, 3” Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust single inlet/outlet (no Cat)
Spare Parts
I have a spare tonneau cover and deck lid that will be included with the sale. They are not perfect, but these parts are not easy to come by
Price
$3500 obo
I have a ton of pics of all the work I’ve done to it over the past 7 yrs or so on photobucket.

I just have other projects and have lost interest in it. If you are interested shoot me a PM, or email me at snowyz28@yahoo.com and we’ll go from there.
Thanks for the interest

Re: 1988 Camaro Convertible
if you are serious, start looking at what it costs to ship a non op car.... Uship.com is a great place to find out. I used that to ship my last non op car and it was very reasonable!

Re: 1988 Camaro Convertible
iv shipped my camaro from jersey to nc when i moved using uship and got it for like 400-500 bucks. thats 500 on top of 1500 bucks for a roller with a salvaged title. It would be more worth it if it was local you know but pm me maybe we can make a deal i need more details as well and pictures of everything.

Re: 1988 Camaro Convertible
If I can get a buyer for the roller, you can have the trans for a 1k
btw, I have a spare T56 that needs some work for $500, just no clutch or flywheel
