You said '86 IROC? Was it a respray? 'Cuz the headlight bowls shoud be blacked out. Where are the IROC wheels? Can you give a list of the RPO codes from the console arm rest cover? Just checking.

yes. its a respray. car was originally charcoal. not sure about wheels. i got the car as is now back in late july. havent had time to decode anything. just been tinkering with it, and ran out of money.
Re: 86 iroc-z project car.
It appears to be a Van Nuys built car. Originally medium gray WA7782 with an LB9 190 hp engine. I don't see RPO B4Z which is IROC equipment but it has J65 front/rear discs, G92 performance axle, T96 fog lamps, and G80 limited slip diff. Interesting.
Whereabouts are you in Illinois? I'm near Joliet.

You haven't said anything about the car. You need to provide a detailed description of what it is and what its parts are. Does it run, is there rust, which engine and transmission is something broken. Has it been hit, what parts have been changed, mileage. Etc.

Re: 86 iroc-z project car.
As I stated it is a project, I got it back in july when i traded my truck for it. When I got it i planned on redoing the whole car. Well im 16, and money is a big problem. I have no funds for the car, so it is time to dump it. It has the tuned port 305, a 700r4 tranny, and the ten bolt posi rear end. The floors are shot. it has a rebuilt title. It runs, but i was just in the process of pulling the engine to put a new pan gasket in, so i would have to put the radiator back in for it to run. also the trans leaks. it also has t-tops. i have 99% of the parts off of the car.
I would keep it if i could, but unlike the other kids my age, i dont have daddys money to buy and pay for everything

Re: 86 iroc-z project car.
I wouldn't say unusual but RPO's J65, G92, and G80 are interesting. Nice options.
However, as far as I know, for model year 1986 IROC's had RPO B4Z. No B4Z - no IROC. You have RPO Z28. B4Z should be the signifying RPO to designate an IROC from 1985 to 1987. Some one correct me if I'm wrong here.
Let me ask this as well, what speedometer does the car have? Do you have a fog lamp switch? Where is it located? These are going to be some of the q's you're going to get asked to verify that the car is a true IROC and not a clone. If you are going to advertise it as an IROC then you need to be prepared to defend it as an IROC.

Wow, $1000 is half price! I would have been much more interested if I knew the price was that flexible.
