I live in Upstate New York and I am posting my Camaro because I no longer have the time or money to continue working on it. This was my first car. I bought this car when I was 16 years old and it was bone stock. I was deployed to Iraq and saved my money in order to build it the way I wanted it. I had always seen Chad Golen of Golen Engine Service in magazines like "Hot Rod", "Super Chevy" ect. They had nicknamed him the "Stroker and Fuel Injection Specialist". He is one of the most respected Chevy stroker and fuel injection engine builders out there. I called him and we spoke about what engine I would like him to build. I ended up spending over $10,000.00 on the motor alone. This car is a ton of fun to drive. I put the engine in and rebuilt the transmission. The transmission is a 700R4 with a shift kit, billet aluminum super servo, 1200hp blue clutches and for shifting a Hurst Pro Matic 2 shifter. I have Lakewood fully adjustable traction bars for it that are brand new. I brand new subframe connectors. The Edlebrock Nitrous System is only partially installed in the car, but I have all the parts that you will need to finish it. The rear end of the car is a Chevy 10 bolt but I put new axles and complete limited slip with 3:73 gears. The backlash may be off or a pinion bearing may be starting to go bad because I can hear a humming noise that has started coming from the rear end. It isn't anything hard to fix. It also has a balanced aluminum drive shaft and a polyurethane transmission mount with metal teeth inside to prevent it from ever fully breaking and letting the transmission loose and preventing it from moving up and down. I also have brand new solid motor mounts. I wish I could keep this car more than anything but since I was wounded in Iraq I have a Traumatic Brain Injury, fractures in my back, and many other health problems and can no longer do any work on it myself. It is hard for me to sell her because most of the money I made while in Iraq was spent on this car, which I will never get back. So it almost makes me feel like I served in Iraq and got wounded for free. I am willing to be more than fair on the price if I have someone that is truly interested. I have not even put 1,000 miles on the new motor and tranny. The car itself does have high miles but they are mostly miles from driving on the highway from Fort Drum to my home state. I have many pictures of her. When you open the hood all you see is motor. It is very organized and clean. I pulled everything out and painted the firewall and engine compartment. You can literally sit on the inner fender and work on this motor. I would really like her to find a good home where she can be treated like she deserves. She has been garaged As long as I have owned her. Here is the engine build information. Golen 383 Stroker, 10.5:1 compression, 500 HP at flyweel, naturally aspirated. With an extra 200 shot of nitrous, plate system. 1010 CFM, Edelbrock multi point Pro Flo fuel injection system. Edelbrock aluminum heads. 6.5 aluminum Roller Rockers. Kieth Black forged pistons and rods. Eagle 4340 forged steel, internal balanced front and rear,Scat 4340 forged steel, 6" length, floating pin, Cam-Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller,Duration- Intake: 236˚@ .050", Exhaust: 242˚@ .050", Lift-Intake: .554", Exhaust: .574", Lobe Separation-110˚. The old 350/350 out so now I could prepare the firewall and start organizing all the wiring. I also had to install a piggy back external fuel pump in order to have 50psi of fuel pressure needed for the Pro Flo EFI system.
