91 92 Camaro Z28 Convertible Wanted

I am looking for a clean 91 or 92 Z28 convertible. I would prefer a black car but would consider anything. If you have one please e-mail me picks and your asking price to camaros@sbcglobal.net.
Thanks
Ed

That's just it. I'm not sure what I should be spending. I am new to the 3rd generation camaro market. I have been mostly in the first gens and have been wanting a 69 Convertible, but I'm sure you're aware the price of those have just gone through the roof.

I seem to find a wide range of prices on the 3rd gens. So, I'm not sure what I really should be paying. Take for example I did find one, says the engine & trans has been rebuilt, the body has 139K and the car is in parts and is bare metal. (Project) They are asking $7K. Do you think that is a fair price?

Any advice you could give would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ed

$7,000 for a car matching the description you just gave me is a BIG rip-off. i'd laugh in their face if they told me they wanted that much...unless the rebuilt motor is an LS1 or something unique.

here's a heads up on some prices. i paid $12,000 for my car in 2002 when it had 32,xxx miles on it. i bought it from a new car dealership so i paid premium on it. you can find some lower mileage verts in good condition, say around 80,xxx miles or so. if it has good paint, if it's original, and if it runs good enough to be a daily driver...then i would say you should be willing to pay about $7,000-8,000 depending on HOW NICE the paint and body is. the ones you see going for $3,000-4,000ish usually are pretty abused and have a lot of miles on them. you just need to shop around until you get a feel for prices. if you have any links you want to show me of particular cars feel free to PM me the link and i'll give you my on the deal
