unless it's a tpi or 350 tpi at that the v6 is actually a more fun car to drive then the slow/heavy 305 tbi cars. not only that but the 305tbi cars suck gas and they are slow. perfect cars for engine transplants though as they offer some of the upgrades of the z28 without the cost.

V6s have given me problems in the past, but what can I judge since my 91 Z28 is out of commission since I bought it.

Please explain why a v6 would be more fun to drive than LO3? the 305 TBI may be slow in comparison to the TPI motors, but mine is stock aside from exhaust and a few tricks and i roast my friends firebird v6. I run a best of 14.9 with LO3/T-5 and still get about 25mpg highway.

a little dated but what the hell... if you need an explanation you haven't driven a v6 much. they handle much better on the road with the weight transfer. to say you can roast anyone with a 305 is funny as 14+ is not fast. the only advantage to a 305 tbi car is honestly the sound as beyond that they are heavy and sluggish. also, any vehicle with a manual transmission should get great gas mileage. 25mpg i find it a bit of a stretch but yes it would be much better then the auto. t-5 is a rare piece to find on it's own.

regardless the v8 305 models are not race cars. the 350 tpi is barely a race motor in these cars but at least it can be respectable stock.

I had 3 V6's before, 85 pontiac firebird, 85 camaro, and 91 camaro rs and believe me, all of them gave me problems... im thinking of getting a 350 on my 91 z28 but for now she is being maintained at the moment
