Manuel 3rd gen CHEAP
Alright guys heres the story, im a college student at IU, and i want to pick up a car during spring break. Some complications have recently arose and i am going to need a car during the summer. Ive been working on cars since 8th grade, ive fully restored a 69 El Camino(ask for pics), and ive helped alot of friends with there cars. Im looking for a CHEAP ($1500, or cheaper camaro), id really like to stay in the $800 range, but im willing to pay more if i can get my hands on a 5 speed.
I could only trailor a car if its close to indiana, my buddy with the car trailer isn't gonna go cross country for me.. and i cant pay the gas for his giant turbo diesel to go that far anyway. So if its not near indiana it needs to be able to handle a highway drive, ill pick a car up from anywere in the US, it needs to be able to make the drive though.
I dont care about miles, im a mechanic i just need cheap, im in college. Ill also consider automatic's, but id really like to have a 5 speed.
Also remember i wont be able to pick anything up until spring. (early march) Thanks guys.

Re: Manuel 3rd gen CHEAP
I have a maroon 91 Z28, 305 TPI, 5 spd, with 4 wheel disc brakes. Its a hardtop with a black interior. Car runs like a top and has cold ac.
no power options though, but I did add the remote hatch release.
Paint is shot, but the underneath is clean.
Has a 4th gen rear, and I'm running salad shooters on all four corners.
Upgrades: Spohn Panhard Bar, LCA's and LCA relocation brackets welded on. Hotchkis STB, Weld in SFC's, Poly bushings through out. Rear Bilstein Shocks, elcheapo monroe on the front. Car is lowered about 2", and handles great. Walbro Fuel pump with Racetronix hotwire kit. It has a TDS wonderbar on it too.
The bad: the paint, as stated. Headliner is falling down, wear mark on the seats. About the size of a dime. Dash pad is cracked, armrest is fine though.
$1500 and drive it home from 33903.
