Hey guys i'm new to the site. Turned sixteen told i could have a Camaro if i could find one for the right price. Always loved third gens so when i found this site i couldn't believe it. I'm looking for a Z28 or an Iroc-z Camaro anywhere from 85-92. $4500 is the max i could go but i'm more around $4000. Driveable. Minor body dents okay. No major rust. Interior respectable. Nothing more than 200,000 miles. Manual would be great but auto's just as fine. I live in Tulsa and would be willing to come pick it up. Anywhere in the Midwestern area. Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arizona, Illinois, Colorado, Arkansas, Iowa. If you have what i'm looking for or know someone who does shoot me a message.

 

I have an 89 iroc w/350tpi auto/t-top in fair shape.Definitly restorable.smokes on start up.need valve guild seals.Small tear on lower back of drivers seat.No damage from rust.some small serface stuff was on the hood that I got off and did a temperary paint job on.Im east of memphis 1 and a half hours in tennessee.Worst part is hand sive dent in drivers rear quarter down low under the curve point.3000.00 as is will drive.has aftermarket raidio cd player.Black with gray interior.

 

definitely interested. looking into this other one on the site but i'll know in a few days and message you for sure. Any idead what the start up smoke is caused from? And if you can post pics that would be awesome. If you don't know how dont worry about it

 

Right now, for $4000 you can have an Iroc-z without any issues, w/decent miles....

 

Well yeah i know. Problem for me is finding one. With nothing but hand sized dent that would be great. It needs to be mecanically sound but if the start up is an easily fixed problem then i would be interested in it

 

This car has 68xxx on it and I take it for a 30 to 45 minute ride atleast once a week.The smoke is from valve guild seals.I've never changed them before.But it dosn't require a major tear down.There are some old shots of it.There was serface bubles on the hood I sanded out and put some paint on to protect it until I get time to strip it all the way.This car is not priced at 4xxx. It's 3xxx.1xxx would take this car a long ways if your able to do anything yourself at all.I've been watching and buying third gens for a few years now.There is NO rust under or in any wheel walls.This car can be drove like it is! A little money and time and would make a very nice ride.It is already.

 

So how's the hood look now? And is there any paint missing on the dent? Could i buff it out or would i have to replace a panel?

 

little paint missing on the dent but no rust damage.It will need some body repair.I don't think it would just pop out. The hood has not been painted in a finish quality.Just a temperary.Looks fairly good.But if you look at it right you can see where the paint peeling was.I don't have this car up on any craigeslist or for sales listing.Not even a sign in the window.Just sean you where looking for one and thought I'd let you know I had one.If ya want to come look at it.FINE.If not thats OK too.

 

I live one hour away from you in Caney, Kansas right across the state line. Im wanting $3500 for my 1987 Z28. The body has 137k miles on it and the engine has a little over 4k miles on it. There is an oil leak but should be an easy fix.

Paint-Black with yellow racing stripes. 7 out of 10
Body-Has a few dents not real noticable in doors. 7 out of 10
Roof-T-tops glass is good. 8 out of 10
Front glass- Cracked across top may need replaced. 4 out of 10

Interior:
Seats-Front are yellow and black racing seats back are stock and look almost brand new. 8 out of 10
Carpet-Is very clean for age so it might be replacement not real sure. 9 out of 10
Dash- Cracked as are all third gen dashes. 4 out of 10
Trim-Missing one piece( driver side kick panel) the rest is in good shape. 7 out of 10
Sound-Older cd player with Sony Xplod 6x9 Speakers. All speakers work. 6 out of 10
