First car when I was 15 was an 87 IROC 5.0 TPI A4 t-tops.

I am now 28 and really want another one but I am not in a rush so I am being very selective.

MUST BE t-top or convertable. color doesn't really matter

will consider any 85-89 if it is an LSx swap car.

no 86 cars

1987 5.7 TPI A4 225HP
1987 5.0 TPI M5 215HP with G92
1987 5.0 TPI A4 190HP only if 'vert

1988 5.7 TPI A4 230HP
1988 5.0 TPI M5 220HP with G92
1988 5.0 TPI A4 195 HP only if 'vert

any 89 IROC w/ TPI with the exception of a 2.77 geared 5.7 car and the 195HP 5.0 auto car is only acceptable if it's vert


no 1990's. can't stand the gauges and steering wheel.

I'd say price range maxes at about 13,000. I am willing to do some traveling to find the right car.

I have a factory blue, with factory t-tops (Not after market), excellent grey leather interior, AND NOW A BRAND NEW ENGINE. Just last summer I ALSO PUT ON a $2200.00 exhaust system(price includes labor) on the car including smog legal headers chrome vette exhaust tips,new cat converter, 21/2 in pipes and Flowmaster muffler. Also $500.00 Alpine stereo system, A/C cools the car in 100 degree weather. Car can be driven anywhere. I have made a trip to Texas and back. New fuel pump,new fuel filter,new battery,new tires,new distributer,new plugs,new plug wires,new coil,all electrical works as it should including rear hatch motor and cig lighter, DASH IS LIKE NEW !!. Chassis dynoed at 245hp at RW. New vac lines,new egr valve,T-tops that don't leak. Excellent All leather grey interior. Shift kit,shifts tight chrips tires, and rebuilt trans. Yah, curious why no love for '86? I can see leaving them out if you DIDNT list '85. I have
a red 1986 IROC T-top 350 engine swap A4 for sale. Tan interior, solid California car. Lot
of work done, but too many projects. You have a GTO also?

I have an 88 IROC-Z28 Originally 5.0 TPI with T-Tops. Had around 120,000 on it before I put in a rebuilt 350 5.7 TPI. It then sat for 3 years. I have just got it up and running again, and doing a little rehab. Would be interested in selling if you're interested in buying.
