Hi my name is Cody. I joined this forum hoping to really dive into the world of 3rd gens and get to know and love them. I've always liked the way they looked and sounded and I have wanted one since I was very young, but its hard to become a true member of the 3rd gen community when I do not own a 3rd gen car! So here I am, looking for my first car. I would prefer a camaro, 1987 year model and up, but would also enjoy a 1991 or 1992 firebird/trans am. Because this is my first car, im not going to be able to afford to drop 5 grand on a nice 3rd gen, so I would prefer one that i could get for a little less. Doesn't have to be perfect, I would actually prefer a fixer upper. It does have to run decently, but I don't care about the paint at all really. Nothing in a serious crash, but a few bumps and scratches isn't gonna hurt none! I would like an automatic 350, but I'll be grateful for whatever options become available. T tops are optional. They would be nice to have, but then I will also have to take into consideration the chance of leakage. The transmission must work well, I cant afford to be replacing such a major component to the car at this early of a time. Like I said, it doesn't have to be grade A material, just something that will get me back and forth to work, and something I can work on and learn to love and enjoy. I plan on doing my best with what options are given to me, because i will definitely be attending third gen fest and other major events with my third gen wouldn't miss it for the world!

Please excuse my ignorance if it was present, I'm just now beginning to learn about vehicles and whatever I know is because I read it in a book or on the internet recently (usually this website )

I live in WEST TENNESSEE in a little town called LEXINGTON on the outside of JACKSON just to the EAST.

Please let me know of any 3rd gens that might be available, even if it was not what I wanted. I have seen a few on craigslist for an affordable amount, but I would much prefer to put that hard earned cash into the hands of another 3rdgen.org member
