1991 Camaro

What do you guys think would be a good price for this car I'm looking at? The seller wanted $5,500 but I got him down to $5,000. I think that is still a little to much. What do you guys think? Add says: Upgraded cooling system runs good drives good it does need the a/c charged

Looks ok. Probably a fair price. Ya aren't gonna get much more for less, even if you find a extraordinary deal. Now if you want to spend $6k or more you can find a lot better. I'd probably raid the couches of extended family for spare change, sell some plasma, man-***** or whatever to increase the budget and buy more car to start with.

Re: 1991 Camaro

I can only spend around 4k on a car right now. The goal is to get something I can cruise around in till about this time next year. Then I will be swapping in a 400 small block I already built sitting at the house. I also found this car but I really like the blue color and the ground effects on the 91 and 92s.

Id take the black Iroc for many reasons. Much better optioned. 70HP atleast right off the bat. Much cooler car.

Re: 1991 Camaro

If I went with the iroc would I be able to use the tpi on the 400 swap with some programming?

Re: 1991 Camaro

Probably not worth it. Unless you got the stock TPI heads re-worked and fit the block with a retrofit roller cam that wasn't too radical. With the Iroc you would still have a better start being you would most probably have a Posi rear and atleast you could sell the TPI engine out of it. You couldn't give away the L03 in the RS. Id sell the 400 engine and stay with the stock 350 TPI engine anyways but that's your choice not mine.

Re: 1991 Camaro

Talked to the guy with the iroc and there is a few people ahead of me that is interested in it. The ac doesn't work. Also he said it runs rich when its hot outside till it kicks in closed loop. His mechanic suggested a new computer.
