Thanks guys. I think its a great color combo also, plus the louvers seem to enhance it all for the exterior. I havent seen many like mine. Only a couple.
I found it at a chevrolet dealership in cincinnati back in 96 in the used car lot. Found the same way it looks now except the rear louvers. It has the code for them so I got an original set from ebay. It also had 44,000 original miles on it when I bought it. Sucks now that it has 107,000 on it plus it was a cleaner inside and the paint was better when I got it.
The hood doesnt really get in the way anymore. I've gotten use to it over the years. When I first got the car, it took some time to get use to. My family members tell me about not being able to see over the hood when they ride in it. But they all like the car though.
Nice car. Interesting hood. I like the idea, but not the execution. It'd look good if the cowl had a convex shape to it instead of the concave shape that it has.
Thanks for the replies guys. 88iroctpi305, your car is practically the same as mine. Same color with the gold package. Dont see too many like ours. I've only seen a couple in my area since I've owned my car. Thanks to everybody liking my iroc.

Havent been able to drive it that much lately. It didnt quite run right because It had 4 injectors bad, I got those replaced a few years ago and she ran like a champ, but still couldnt drive it because the exhaust started to fall off. Got the whole exhaust replaced a couple years ago and now it sounds great. Still couldnt drive it very much since I had a kid a year and a half ago but now I got a bunch of parts to put on it like springs, shocks, struts, all brake stuff and other odds and ends. Be driving it alot when I get that stuff put on it. Cant wait. I'll be posting before and after pics in a new post when I get it done.
Sweet ride thanks for wanting to help but I can't figure out how to post pics from my i phone I have plenty on it if you could guide me kinda new to this
Thanks guys. I going to be taking some updated pics of her and posting them. Those pics are about 3 years old and I have made a few changes since then. Should be this weekend to get updated pics.
The hood was on the car when I bought it back in 1996. I still own the car. There was a guy on this site blue502 that had the same hood on his car when I joined the site I think in 2002. He told me it was a custom made hood that the guy he knew only made about a dozen or so hoods and lived in Oregon. Some how my car got one and I bought my car in Cincinnati from a Chevy dealer lot. Here’s some pics of the car I took a little over a year ago.
I like it, just a little to tall for me though. I saw one from one of the hood places just about like that just had some indents along the side of the scoop. What color code is that?
Not for sure what the color code is but I think the color is called flame red metallic. Original paint color they gm used for quite a few years on our cars.
Yeah thats what I was thinking as the code on the one I just bought has the Flame Red 74U code. Some of your picks it seem very Maroon but in others it looks perfect. Does the color lighten up in the sun? Does it look more red or maroon to you?!?
