So whats happening with any kind of meet up? Glen, Apeiron, Brisk, Crimson 383 cid (though I'd imagine your installing the blower). It's been so quiet here ...

I'm still trying to get a weekend free so I can turn a bare block and a pile of parts into an engine.

In the time it would take to cut the floor out I could just build the engine.
It's not so bad, really. The longer I wait, the more parts I end up buying.

lol... isn't that the truth... By then it'll be winter... and then you can put it off some more. Then spring will come, and they you will start thinking.. "I should build the engine".. then summer hits.. and ah crap.. the cycle starts again..

No, it'll be done and back in the car just in time for snow. Then I'll strip the body to bare metal over winter but in spring there won't be time to shoot it until the following fall.

Ok, I finally got some work done on it over the weekend. The block is parallel decked, honed, tapped, plugged, cleaned and painted, the crank is ground and the heads are milled and reassembled.

Just when I thought I might actually get the short block finished today, I find out my rods are hitting the cam. :P

Had another weekend to work on the car. I had my pistons balanced onto a new set of Eagle H beam rods to fix my cam clearance problems on Friday. A fair bit of weight had to be added back to the crank since the H beams are considerably heavier in the big ends than the old I beams. Fortunately all the weight was put back where it had been drilled out previously, so no expensive mallory metal or anything was needed. I trial-fit everything and found I'm going to need some more grinding on the block to clear the heavier rods, but at least I have a ton of clearance between the rods and cam.

I guess I don't count, since I moved, but I thought I recognized crimson 383's car.... More specifically, the T-bird in the background (err, T-birdS eh?)
Ever finish your car Cody? Collin told me a while ago Ryan had his T-bird dynoed that showed something rediculous (high), dumbass couldn't even remember the #'s.... You know anything about that?
I'm 'restoring' an '82 TA now, i'll be starting a thread here about what i've done to the rear suspension in the canadian region forum here...

Penticton here..... I've got a 91 RS camaro 305 th700. Off the road right now, Tranny died Any of you guys know anybody scraping a 3rd gen. with manual tranny? I want to change it out and put a 5-speed in. I figure it is better to but a scrap car for all the parts, Clutch pedals, master cylinder...... Once my RS in back up and running it would be great to get together.

Found a good site for 3rd Generation part www.driverfx.ca and the best part is its Canadian.. Be careful some parts are marked way up. ie Console megashifter for Camaro at Lordco 213.00, on this site 370.38 wow big difference. But some parts are great... I found a coversion kit so I can put a th350 in my 91 RS.

driverfx is basically the special order site for canadian tire. technically it's ekeystone.com but unless you have a username and password you can't check prices on that.
but if you get c-tire to order from driverfx.ca for you, then you usually don't pay any of the shipping, you just pick it up from c-tire.

Cranbrook is home
I have wanted to run a car at the Salt Flats since I was in my mid teens.
Now I have the time and money to do it.
The plan is to get the car either this year or next, build it over the winter of '07 and run on the salt in '08.
Phase one is to get into the 130 mph club
Phase two is to get into the 150 mph club
Phase three is to go over 200 mph.
It starts now.

I'm still alive too. The Camaro is finally off 'daily driver' status. so perhaps I might be able to get somethings done to it now.

Jester, I live in Kamloops. My GTA is parked and collecting dust at this time but I am going to try and get it running this winter (when I have more time).
Also Chris (Aperion) lives in Salmon Arm. Maybe the three of us can meet at my place, have a barbeque and talk cars one weekend.

Would anyone be interested in a 3" mandrel-bent, TIG-welded stainless steel exhaust with a bullet muffler?

Hey Glen, what about me! I have not really met any thirdgen owners in BC yet.
Apeiron, your not to far either. My car could probably use a drive before the end of the season.

Anytime Fastelectrics (aka Tony IRC). You may be able to make arrangements with Jester since he's "on the route up". Chris (Aperion) is in Kamloops most every other weekend, so I'll just entice him with beer & steaks.

It's possible. We'll have to arrage something sometime. My days off work however are Sunday's and Monday's. not the norm. I'll be going to the coast on the 17th. so currently most weekends are free.

If any of you guys are interested in getting together for a barbeque and beer in Kamloops (before winter sets in), let me know.
I'm not to sure how the weather is going to be this weekend, but let me know if any of you are interested.

Are you going to get a Harley to go with the new name and avatar?
My next few weekends are probably going to be occupied with actually getting around to putting this thing into a car.
