How long for a vehicle to become a classic?I would imagine it depends on few things.

I thought it was 30 years? I know you can't get "classic" tags for a car untill its 30+ years. I know cuz I've tried .... $110 a year for classic tags on my cousin's truck ('52 Ford) and his other car ('63 Galaxie 500) would be really nice!! Combined, thats about 1/3 of what it costs me to tag the Camaro for a year

In my mind its a classic at 20, and a collectable at 30. Just what I always thought

Depends on your jurisdiction and the car. In BC, ICBC will insure some cars as "Collector" in as short as 15 years (if the production numbers were very low). But, in general, it's 25 years in BC before you can get Collector Plates. (And there are certain restrictions on the equipment/parts that can be installed and when you are allowed to drive it).
