meet in Edmonton next summer?

Well if anyones interested i would like to go for a drive down to edmonton at least once next summer and would like to get together with some of the other TGO'ers. It would be nice to go down when i would be able to get this thing on the strip and see what it will do but thats not a huge deal.

I know this is a long ways away and my car will need alot done to it before i go down there but do you guys think we could make it happen?

Edmonton fear the wrath of my eskimomobile

Mods to be done before i go:

383 buildup
6-71 blower
Trans- Undecided
Rearend- Undecided

Give me a shout when you head down. The fastest and nicest third gens around hang out at my shop in Edmonton (and some ugly slow ones) LOL. Plus we can dyno that car after the new combo!!!!!!!

Nice!

will definately let you know when im heading down, but you might have to add fast but ugly to the list

I doubt ill have any of the exterior done next summer so itll probably be some spray bomb flat black untill i get the cash for some nice paint.

So you have a dyno in your shop i guess?

LOL, fast but ugly will be added for future descriptions.

Yes I have a dyno. I specialize in f-bodies and custom programs, builds, whatever. Though I have really been getting taken over by the mustang crowd this summer. Were are all the f-bodies at? I only built like 4 f-bodies this summer and around a dozen mustangs. I used to only do f-bodies?

Mustangs need the help more than F bodies.

Do you guys build motors down there too?

I have a new block sitting here but in the end its probably going to be cheaper for me to have an engine built out of town and ship back just one piece rather than 100 seperate freight bills

We sure do build engines. Send me a list of what you are looking for or feel free to call for a quote. The only down side is that we build killer engines for good prices. Wait a minute, thats not a bad thing.

Later,

Martin

Does your shop have a website? I'll probably be in edmonton around the end of June or beginning of July. I'm in kelowna, bc right now but I'm moving back to E-town around that time.

Holy shazbatch!

Is that $500 a day for the dyno?

I like the 2 pulls for $75 though
Would be nice to know what this big chunk of steel is putting to the ground when its all said and done.

Are you guys set up to run flywheel dynos too?

LOL, no the 500 dollars is for a custom computer program and dyno time. It all depends on the application but some of the crazy combos I have built can take 8 plus hours to really dial in.

For setting up a carb or other uses I bill the dyno out at 120 per hour, and that is flexable as the time increases. I have to charge 500 for a dyno tune on the EFI stuff because I have 20,000 dollars invested in software and various scanners and such.

I was talking about having a dyno day for all the third gen guys last year when I was supposed to get the new building. That didn't happen but I will make it happen for sure this year so if you can make it for that it would benefit you.

Look for the rules and regulations for the IHRA racing body not bud parks rules. Bud Park is an IHRA track and uses all rules put forth by the IHRA.

I could have sent you one. Let me know if you can cancel the order to save time and any extra costs.

I haven't got a third gen myself, but I'd love to bring my TPI truck and check out some of the 3rd gens kicking around

Maybe I could bring my buddy Tim along, he has got a 350 horse or so 3rd gen, its an 84, and man is it ever fun to drive!

Sounds cool, a TPI engine is killer for 4x4 use.

I don't think he posts much here anymore - he's active on other boards though and his shop is busy, busy, busy.
