1983 problems?
hey all, im going to london ont. to look at a 1983 305 t-top trans am for sale
owner works in a body shop and had it all the "cancer" cut out and was repainted in july '06 . there is a new headliner exh. brakes, clutch and carpet. is there anything this car is notorious for? pst.

Transmission: T10, hurst shifter
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73
saggy doors. Inspect it carefully to see how much cancer he cut out.
If he's selling it after putting work into it, that means he half assed it.
Bring a magnet to see if he "cut out" the metal, and fiberglassed it, or gobbed on bondo.
Look underneath from frame damage, or severe undercarriage rust.
Yea, i'm very wary of professional mechanics and body men selling cars with recent work done. Been burned on that one.

i hear yah, he did admit to fibreglass patch on pass, rear qu.panel and the hinges im not sure of. she's not safetyed and i know as a fact saggy doors wont pass it. i am bringing a magnet with me. my concern is the undercarriage, also under the trunk liner above wheel wells. im weiry too, no red flags going up, ima have a look see, but thanks for the advice, i wont be hesitant on her.
