hey all, i belive my motor spun a bearing, after 220 000 kms, so im gonna pull it before a rod goes through the block.
its a 5.0, and im looking to save crank and rods. i want to bore it out to 350,put aluminum pistons, and put and lt4 hotcam in. the heads will be stock, other than springs. If crank is ruined ill throw a 400 crank in

does anyone have a source/ can do it themselves. obviosly i need someone who can bore,hone, and do the rest too.also I want someone who has had expeirence setting a high lift roller setup to the right lash and tightness.

anyone? i'll pay cash,beer, and used engine parts

 

It doesn't work like that. A 305 block can't be bored out to become a 350 block.

A 400 crank isn't a drop-in replacement into a 305 or 350 block either. You'd need to turn the main journals down to fit the block, and then you'd also need either shorter rods or pistons with higher wrist pins to allow for the extra stroke.

There are a number of machine shops in Alberta, especially in Calgary, that can do the work, once you figure out what you actually want.
