I would be interested but they have distributor here in Toronto. If UMI could pass the discount on to the Toronto distributor I think you would find a fair number of people living in the Toronto area to come on board. There are two Camaro clubs in toronto that you might get in touch with as well.

Yes I need some LCA relocation brackets.

This sounds like a great idea. My biggest concern with this purchase is the broker/shipping fees that come along with crossing the border. I am actually going to check with a couple speed shops in Calgary today as to see what would be required to complete a group purchase through them within Canada. (One of the shops carries Spohn products)

I am not trying to detract from our UMI group purchase, but am concerned about the additional costs of brokerage/shipping. When we get to the ordering point, we should discuss possibly a group shipment to Canada. I do have a buddy within the Calgary Jeep club (www.calgaryjeep.com) which I belong to, that may be able to get us a great rate on brokerage and possibly shipping as he currently does group purchases from a US retailer for our Jeep club. I will keep you posted as to what I find out

Of all the products I have been looking into, I do like the UMI stuff the best. Their arms are the same as Spohn, but I think they have better SFCs and a few other goodies that I intend to purchase.

Who is the UMI distributor in TO?

My order list is;
Single Adjustable Lower Control Arms & Panhard Bar Kit - Item #: 201621
Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets- Bolt In - Item #: 2012
F-Body Pistol Grip Shifter Handle - Black - Item #: 2106-B
Leave me alone .... I needed some bling!
Tubular Front Steering Brace / "Wonder Bar" - Item #: 2030
Boxed Style Weld-In Subframe Connectors - Item #: 2400

Who does Spohn stuff in Calgary?
I would rather buy Spohn stuff to have on car adjustability. It costs more but to adjust the panhard bar and LCA's I don't want to unbolt them turn the nut and bolt them back up again, sounds like a pain to me.

Willspeedy,

If you go to the UMI website they have on car adjustable panhard rod. Not sure about the LCA's.

Thanks, great site with lots of good information and opinions!

Davenport Racing can bring in both the Spohn and BMR components. I was talking with Steve yesterday and he said they would bring either in if we were interested, but as they are not an official dealer of either brand, they don't stock any items. If there is enough interest, he would approach either vendor with a group purchase idea to see what they would offer as a discount. My thoughts are that group purchases are the only way us Canucks can get US parts at a reasonable price, due to the savings in shipping and brokerage.

I priced out a TPI Insider Hints book from Jegs and luckily they sent me an e-mail before shipping.
Price $25.99
Brokerage $18.95
Shipping $19.98
OUCH - Needless to say....NO thanks.

IRT on car adjustments, UMI arms and panhards (double heims only) can both be adjusted on the car. Once you have pinion angles and axle centering lined up, I don't suspect there is much reason to do adjustments again unless you are doing other suspension changes.

For my planned use (Street toy with the odd track session) I prefer the single adjustable arms with a poly bushing at one end. Once set you don't need to worry about the adjustment changing. (If locknuts come loose arm length cannot change) With on car adjustment versions, I would want to keep a closer eye on the locknuts, as if both come loose, adjustment could change.
