I have wanted a Camaro (mostly an 89 IROC) for as long as i can remember. Most of the ones i come across in my price range have some pretty used up engines or low HP 305's. I don't wana pay for the gas a V8 takes for 170HP lol. Id love to swap in a fresh(ish) LT1. I considered just buying a newer Camaro but IMO they are just to ugly . After doing a bit of reading here it seems i just don't have the knowledge to do it on my own or the money to pay someone to do it. This is a long shot but is there anyone on the island with the skills to help/teach me?

Living in an apt doesn't help much either .. no space to work

not in vic you wont. save about 5G's and see what the market has. or buy cheap and do the work yourself. an LT engine will be more expensive than the car you guy.

PS: to keep my spending low, i have another daily driver...an olds intrigue.

 

Yea... I was thinking of saving until i find a nice one on here with a person willing to ship.

Maybe when i have the cash i can find someone and special order what i want lol. Which is basically a mint 92 RS/Z28 with 18'' chrome IROC wheels and a completely stock low mileage (or rebuilt) LT1 and tranny.

Should join the Vancouver Island F-body club. Lots of people with modded 3rd and 4th gens on there. Carb and Fuel injection. Skills ranging from amateur/stock to people in the 11's.

I've met most of them from car shows and cruises. Nice bunch of people. No attitude.
