Hey thanks guys, right now there isnt actually a motor in the car.Its been gutted for a 383 4 bolt Stroker. It 'should' be in for the summer.Right now only the bottom end of the motor together. That isnt quite the color im going to go with,i want a bit lighter.Im going with a shade of House of Kolors Kandy Cobalt blue.To get the exact color i want the whole car has got to be sprayed first with Silver, then the kandy laid over top.
have you thought about a gold base......the cobalt over silver makes for really sharp color....that or mix silver and gold like i did and you'll get a mild color changing effect in the right light.
question on the front bags.....could you use the stock strut placement removing the spring entirely or did you go with a bag setup in the spring location.
i was looking at a thirdgen at the shop the other day with a "stut bag", basically it was a strut that had a airbag on the very top of it.
can't wait to see the paint....take your time and do it right.

I actually live on Vancouver Island,in British Columbia Canada. So ,i doubt ill be there, this year anyways.Where are they held at each year?Once the car is done im planning on taking it on a bit of a tour.Kandied:I just used a bag in the coil pocket, with the basic 4" cups on the top and bottom of the bag.It seems to work perfectly fine.Well,im off.
yeah, that's great! i think the trend now is more towards the strut bag; but this raises the price. if you can build a reliable setup that way then that's terrific.
be careful though as going with something that is custom can sometimes lead to trouble. i've got a 2000 issue of compact lowrider with a candy green civic called bad apple that did a similar situation and one of the bags caught on a pinch weld.
needless to say the car was later referred to as apple sauce and the two passengers were lucky to walk away. (had a roll cage that saved them)
when is the finish date?

congradulations, your one of the seemingly few people on this board that can lower the car and do alot of external modifications and do it tastefully. Excellent job, just excellent.
