Importing '91 Camaro into Canada.
Well I am originally Canadian but have been in Dubai, U.A.E. for the past 6-7 years. I will be leaving shortly and heading home soon. I have still not decided which providence I will be residing in but we will see. Anyways I have a 1991 Camaro RS (Project) that I have never had on the road here. I have owned it for the past three years and have thrown tons of cash and hours into it. I will never get the money I put into it here for it so I am planning on bringing it back to finesh it up in the Great White North. Anyways the car is from Japan and I am the first owner to have it here. It has Japanese specs. I have the cars old registration from Japan but it is all in Japanese. I also have the receipt from the dealer I bought it from (in Dubai). I am wondering if I can bring this car into Canada and if so what all needs to be done? How much is it all going to cost me? Will I have any problems with customs? And last but not least can I throw in a bunch of parts in the container as well to go with the car i.e. differential, nitrous system, engine block, treansmission, wheels, etc.? Thanks guys.

Well. Here is a link I set up for our business. It is geared towards US to Canada but there a some very good all around tips. Good luck. Get a broker to handle your customs if coming in from outside of North America. I can send you to a great freight forwarder I have been using for 3 years for international shipments. She is cheap, and is a huge help.
You have two options. Roll on/off or container. Most containers contain two cars, so the shipping company will load the car for you.
Make sure you DO include insurance on your shipment.
