performanceparts.com great place to shop for Canadians
So I was looking for a bunch of stuff to get for my car and came across this site http://performanceparts.com/ have to say I'am very impressed so far. I'am getting American prices on everything I need and shipping to me from their warehouses in Canada is only $20 per order, there is no other shipping fee or brokerage charge other then the $20. Considering most places in canada usually like to charge up to double the price sometimes I think this is a great deal. For us though you should call ahead of time to make sure they have the stuff in Canada before you make your online order but I'am sure if they don't have the item in Canada probably just take them little while longer to send it to one of their 3 warehouses up here then off to you. He said there is a warehouse in B.C. one in Alberta and think one in Ontario.
One thing though their website search engine doesn't always show what your looking for sometimes unless your looking for the part number so best thing I found was to look for the part number in Summit first then look it up there afterwards, works great that way.
I also made a order with http://2koolperformance.ca/ since performanceparts didn't have the one item I needed, I'll let you know how that goes since the part is comming from the states but these guys claim the $40 was enough for the shipping with no other charges comming, they also had good prices just the run around for ordering is little annoying.

So I got my package in from 2Koolperformance.ca and looks like I have no other charges or any brokerage fee to play for my $360 order, not bad for $40 shipping fee for this big package. Trying to get this same order through summit or Jegs would have killed me in shipping fees and brokerage charges. Looks like we have two great places to shop now for our high performance needs

Wow!
I've been travelling back and forth to Chicago (from the Toronto area) and have been bringing back parts duty free and tax free.
This place might make all those trips unnecessary.
You are correct. I checked prices on a couple of items and found they matched Jeg's dollar for dollar.
There would no exchange rate (although we're close to parity right now) but there would be sales tax wouldn't there?

Yes I still payed full tax (PST + GST) with with my performanceparts.com order then there is also the converson cost to your visa to pay in US dollars.
With my 2Koolperformance.ca they quote you in canadian dollars but their prices also come close to the big name US companies if you count the difference in our currency. I also only payed the GST with that order, looking at the bill now but I think they are a Ontario company so might be different with you.

The difference in the dollar would be the same between the U.S. wholesaler and Performance Parts then.
GST wouldn't be bad at 5% although with the new HST coming everything might be charged at 13% here in Ontario.
Still worth considering. Especially when I have to drop another couple of grand on parts to go on a new short block.
