new guy from rimbey ab ... near sylvan lake and red-deer

hey ive been on forums but im new to this one ...obviously..... anyway
i didnt see an intro forum so im using the area one.... mods feel free to re locate if ive made an error anyway i bought my camaro whith the intent of turning it into a drag car i paid $200 the motor was seized and the paint heavily oxidized and the guy wanted to keep the rims ... perfect its guna be a blacked out sleeper anyway ...it needs a headliner rear seat re upholsterd and a front right fender ...it had two sets of t -tops in the back seat i have no idea why though as its a hard top(any one who can tell me how much their worth that would be great theres a few camaro guys in town that want them...i believe their from a third gen because i have a 2nd gen in my yard as well and they dont near fit that....my current plans are two drop in the stock car motor my dad is lending me....2bolt main 350 whith heads aluminum intake and we think a cam ...it has had the oil journals ground and shaped for sustaind high revvs this motor will stay untill next year as i plan on trying as many event types as are in my area ... so far auto cross drag racing and some drift events after i know which i prefer i plan on altering the car to best suit my driving style pertinent to that or thos event(s)
the car is a black z28 whith red interior and an auto trans...it will become a revaerse manual valvbody if i drag race i may also consider that for auto cross if i auto cross /drift mostly the auto will most likely be chucked in favour of a standard whith short throw shifter ...

so far i have an aluminum rad whith electric fans wide tires on black rims

what i have pland and not necessarily in this order
chassis stiffening

sub fram connectors

wonder bar thing(still not tottaly sure what it is)

a roll cage whit some removable bars(still want to be able to drive it whith out having to dukes of hazzard it over and in between 4 bars to get to the back seat lol ive seen some nice cages done like this

maybye the ladder bar relocation kit to prevent abuse to transmission tail shaft ...if i only drag race itll be back halved

engine 383 strocker..... possibly use the block that came with the car it would need to bee bore due to rust pitting in cylender walls but its a 4 bot main so if my other lead on a running ish 4 bolt main is crap ill look into machining cost as well as availability of over broe stroker kits and if the block will handle it as im not even shure if its a high nickle block
....a lil hiddenish juice high rise intake good heads maybye a set of camel bumps and msd ignition.....and im not saying juice because i wtched fast and the furious and think that enough n20 will put a 4cyl chines car to 800 horse duoble the redline of the motor shoot fire out the exhaust...love the movies but the unrealistic crap pisses me off

im debating on an electric water pump what are the pros and cons of this and would i have to upgrade my alternater to run electric fans and pump
.. another thing i want too do is a quicksteer power steering setup

in the end i want a fast car i can whip my buddys asses in and stil throw sideways down a gravel road and not cry because of my paint......

another thing i may look into is exhaust cut outs which can be operated from inside .... itd be nice to have a non stealth mode switch as well as a few others(n20) sitting where the ash tray used to be

the above was probably a realy jumbled mess and if managed to finish it then i thank you but thats how my mind is right now this is not my first project vehicle but it is the project on which i have the most options and the most to learn and i hope that i will learn alot from this car ive grown up racing hotrods oval track sledding quading etc lol i come home after class me my brother and my dad are in the shop thats just how it is lol

anyway any info on drifting auto cross or drag racing experience would be greatly apreciated

You may have kind of overwhelmed us with too much information and too many questions. You might want to try again... but only cover one topic at a time.
Your ideas seem good overall. I'm interested to hear how you fared.
