Did you just get a straight re-build or play with pistons, cams etc for more oomph?

I did a complete re-re of the motor with a slight increase in compression, due to funds at the time. The plenum, throttle body, and runners were blasted and ported. The block, k-member, and valve covers were repainted with stock colours. They did a wonderful job.

 

The work you had done is all good stuff! Was it done in the car or with engine removed? I'm guessing engine removed.

Is it a 5 speed or automatic?

The engine was removed, and block was sent out to a machine shop etc. The car is a 5.7L with the 700R4 automatic, SLP headers, intake runners, and exhaust.

Is Andy still running it? I'll have to go see him about rebuilding the rear of my car, he's nice and close for me. The last time I was there was 15 years ago and he was on munham in scarborough.

 

I THOUGHT the name (Straightline) sounded familiar! I used the have a small M/C shop on Nantucket Rd.. about 100 yards away from Straightline!!!
