Ordering from Summit Racing

So lately I've been ordering parts off of Summit Racing, something I would never do before since the shipping cost with UPS was horrible. Looks like they use FedEx now and the cost with all taxes and fees usually end up cheaper then having the package shipped with USPS surprisingly! Anyways I thought I would share since trying to get parts in canada is a pain in the butt and usually overpriced.

Re: Ordering from Summit Racing

The easiest & cheapest way to order from the US is to have your goods shipped to a friend/family member and to get them ship it back to you with USPS, or to locate your nearest warehouse/brokerage facility across the boarder and have your goods shipped there...And then, travel to the US and pick em up yourself...Like us around Quebec & Ontario, we can have everything shipped to Freeport Fowarding.

Well I can't say that would be easier but probably cheaper if your talking about big ticket items.

Also if you order through summit racing on eBay they got even cheaper rates.

Re: Ordering from Summit Racing

Ive been using fedex through them for years. I would just call my order in and request FEDEX only due to UPS fees. about 4 years ago I made a summit order for around $1300. Paid around $70 for UPS to ship, gets to my door. That will be $280 Please! Far from happy.

I usually drive to summit around once a year since its only 3hr. But you get stuck paying 6% ohio tax! (I usually go if its on the way when im on vacation so I dont pay duty). I actually went last week .
