Figured I'd introduce myself and didn't see a general discussion thread.
New two 3rd gens and GM. Longtime mopar guy who's restoring a 71 Charger currently. Wife wanted a convertible and was always a trans am fan.. Given my project won't be done for some time, I figured why not get her something she can enjoy with the family in the mean time.
So we've recently scooped up this mint 91 TA. 55,000 km rust free. Essentially original owner car. Car has a cool back story. Was the parade car in 91 Indy in Toronto and had Emerson Fittipaldi ride in it. Car was raffled off afterwards and the gentleman who won it traded it in for something more practical. It was bought by a man who eventually gave it to his daughter who we ended up buying it off of.
Few small dents and paint chips, but original paint and clean, which is what I wanted... I'm tired of rust repair. Other than that, AC doesn't blow cold. Thats it...
I think the plan is to keep this car essentially stock and stick to maybe just bolt ons for performance gains. I may even do a video series for my youtube channel where I dyno it after each upgrade and see if it was effective. But for now, We'll just get her all ready for the winter.
