you ask and you shall recieve. however, some of this setup is being reworked at the moment. the purple (US Amps) amp has been sold, the kicks are being redone, the mtx amp is now gonna be used for the comps, and the sub is going to be powered by an Ample Audio A240 amps (mmmm, 800 watts).

for those 6.5 in the rear, did you build some kind of box or anything for them? How does the imaging sound or differ, if any, from the 6x9's. Thanx.

And this box has the silver sub in it, I'm working on a new one now. This box came out of the back of my old s-10 and works for now. I also have the box down in the well pointing towards the hatch. It hits way harder than when pointed at the window, I'm putting the sub in the same position in my new box.

Hey CAMp3RO, are you happy with the bass you get from one sub, or do you wish you had two? I am trying to debate wither to get one or two subs.

the R12 is insane. i love the amount of bass i get from it. i was giving it around 300 watts before with the mtx, and it was pretty nice. i should have a new Ample Audio A240 (200x2@4, 400x2@2) in soon, and at around 800 watts, my car will not be able to handle any more. quality, not quantity. if you get one of these, you will be more than content.

I know this wasn't towards me, but right now I just have 1 12" running 250w to it. and I CAN'T stand anymore with rap, rock even after like 5 min. gets to hurt.

Are you changing out the kicks as well? They look like they'd get in the way.....

The imaging must be good, though.

yeah i am going to be rebuilding them and try to tuck them in a little more, but I'm not going to sacrafice imaging for just an inch or two of legroom.

Gotta have priorities.

well, I think the iroc setup is pretty neat. Needs clearer pics of the interior, they are a bit fuzzy.

I do admit the logo's look a little out of place on an otherwise plain paint job. A nice custom paint job, and it will be a sweet show car.

thing is i dont waste thousands of $ on just a sound system.. i really dont think the whole block needs to listen to what im listening to. nor do i need an abnoxious amount of volume to attract girls.

but im sure you do.. i mean you must get TONS of girls with that really cool hood, and the sticker on the back must scare all the fast cars away!!!
However.. i do like music, my tahoe has a very clean system with DVD, NAV, PS2, 10 disk changer, 2 subs, digital cap, 2 sets of RF components and a set of 4x6's... it suits my needs when we take road trips to go to our house on the river(colorado river).

now when it comes to sports cars.. i dont see the need to waste money on a system when i can spend it on more useful things.

thats great you win trophies.. yay.. what does a trophy do for you? nothing.. it sits there and collects dust. yay big whoop. but thats me.. you must be bored you have nothing else to do out in Maine.

wow.. what a great "in-expensive" hobby to have.. to blow thousands of $$$ on something to make you deaf, looks gay, and is ugly as hell.. the system would have been better in a more appealing car. then i might not flame as hard.

What do you put all your money into? Everyone has a hobby, stereos is his. I myself like the setup. Why spend thousands of $$ on an engine and go fast parts? That's a hobby too. And doin all that installation sh*t to his car, he could do other peoples and make HELLA money...have you ever seen the costs of custom installs like that? And what's a more appealing car? A civic or sumthin? I'd sure as hell like to see a more appealing car than a Camaro Iroc.

Hey Rockin IROC, I love the system, but I dont like the paint job, its a wonderful black, but its too colorful. And the Fosgate Symbol on the hood might as well say, "steal my system" on it. I am not one for stickers or advertisements on my car, cuz then people know whats in it and want to steal it, or you give away ur secret with it. However, I like the custom stuff under the center vents. I think the system is bad A$$, but too much stuff outside. Great Iroc, get 16 inch Iroc Rims. I like it!!!

wow, I go on vacation for the weekend and i missed all this ..... some people need to shut up every now and then, because you don't see us going into the carb and tech/engine board and telling people they should not spend all their time and money making their cars fast. Wow, if he has a tahoe with tahoe with DVD, NAV, PS2, 10 disk changer, 2 subs, digital cap, 2 sets of RF components and a set of 4x6's, then post pics and leave everyone else alone. I hate people that just because they hate something else that someone likes to do (and sponsored by) they got to critisize with the upmost of nonsense and immature 3rd gradish remarks. I give this thread a good 2 more days of arguing before its locked.

On the lighter note, i have a guestion rkniroc. How tall are you? lol. I have a stick mysef and being 6'2" & 155 lbs, i come close to hitting my knee on the bottom of the dash from the clutch with the seat close to the rear most position. Those horns don't get in the way really, do they?

~Tim

P.S. I would like to have trophies for my car audio. Collect dust or not, it would be nice.
