6 1/2s in the dash

Hi, i recently bought a 87 GTA and i love it! One of the problems i have is it has no sterio. I have the speakers out of my corsica that i sold which are Pioneer 6 1/2s 50w RMS 180w max and the 6x9s are Blaupunkt 60w RMS 120w max. My question is would it sound ok if i put the 6 1/2s in where the factory 4x6s are? I know it would take some modification if it will work. thanks!

I got a question, I have a 92 corsica and it has 4x6's in the kick panels and 6x9's in the back, where did u get 6 1/2's from? Also did your corsica leak oil? mine does and right now its getting a new rear head gasket and distributor plug to fix that. Thanks

Well, the 6 1/2s and the 6x9s i had bought off a friend and had planned on putting them in the Corsica, the 6x9s worked in the back but as you stated the corsica's have 4x6s too. the 6 1/2s are brand new, never used. My corsica never leaked or gave me much trouble. It was a very dependable car IMO.
