Oh heres my question, I know everyone talks about these all the time, but hear me out. Are these Alpine type r's really that great? Can some give me the power handing on different sizes and give me the specs. Also how do they compare to the JL W0 for example? Also if I bought one 12 type-r would it be louder than my 15 MTX thunder3000? Do they require alot of air space, could I build a box small enough for 2 12's to fit in a pretty small trunk? Thanks alot. Its kinda hard to tell, but the box would have to fit in this trunk.

 

also can someone please give me details on this model JVC headunit. KDSX780 . I found a pretty good deal on it, but after hearing the difference in my brothers camaro with 4volt outputs, I MUST have 4V outputs, and I dont know if this has it or not. Thanks alot!!

the type r's are getting such mention because they are great subs for the price and available everywhere. i got my 12" dvc for $130 from www.ikesound.com they dont need much space, 1.0 cu ft for the 12. they have great sq and enough bass to rattle your car if ya need it. power wise, the 12s take 300 rms, 1000 max. mine is doing great off of 300 max, cant wait to hook up my new amp. i highly recommend them if you are on a budget, becuase you wont find better under $300 (well, the Shiva's are good too, but a little harder to get ahold of......)
