Weird A$$ Noise Please Help

I have a high pitched noise coming through my amp. it is from the alternator and as the rpm goes up the higher pitched it gets. it goes through my amp to the head unit and comes out my 6x9s
is there anything to filter this out?? will a different deck work. one with a 2v sub output?? if I put a equalizer in? or should i just get a new alternator??

The sound that you aree reffering to is called engine noise. There aree a couple of things to check, make sure you are using good quality rca cables, if you use cheap ones then they get sound interferance from your engine. Another thing you could check is your speaker wire. A good speaker wire and RCA cable to use is rockford fosgates roit gamma cables. most likely it is your rca cables.

and be sure you run the RCA cables seperate from the power cables. Avoid crossing over the transmission too, that will throw in some noise.

Also check to see how your head unit is wired for power. Some aftermkt brands actually have a filter on the power lead. Make sure you have a good ground and both wires have good connections.
