I am hearing very good things about the Alpine Type-R on the board here and other places. The question is........ Which Type-R is the best? I look on e-bay and they have a few different product numbers for the 12''s. Which one is the one to get though? Thanx!

what are your goals for your setup? spl, sq, both? budget? give us some more info, and hopefully we can help you make an educated decision

the numbers for the 12" subs are 1221 wich are dual 2 ohm voice coils, and the 1241 are the dual 4 ohm voice coils. One is not really better that the other it just depends on how many subs and amps you plan on running.

I wanna run 2 of them and buy and amp to power them and get the most out of it....... So I should probly go with the 2 ohm subs then right?

IMO if you were gonna run two DVC subs off 1 amp I would go with the dual 4 ohm voice coil subs. You'll have plenty of wiring options with out dropping the ohms too low.
