Alpine + Fosgate

Howdy there, I recently purchased the CDA 855 from Alpine, and the 600 A-5 from RF, looks like to run five channels in the Fosgate amp I need three full RCA Inputs, which the Alpine only has the two, front and rear. Now the front can be changed to a non-fading output, my question is should I simply install a Y in the front RCA pre-out's to run both the front and Sub channels, or are there any other suggestions? If I do that I plan to set it as a non-fading output. Any experience here to refer to and comment on? Also, I plan on buying all Fosgate Gamma Geometry RCA and Speaker wire for the signals, and 8 guage for power and ground. And likely a full farad capacitor which I have never done but think I should this time. Thanks all, and hopefully this get's as many replys as my post on the SLP headers is getting..LOL

I would use the front outs for just the front and set the other to a non fading one.. Then split the non fading by the amp.. I don't know much about that deck so I can't get really specific.. Hope that helped you some..

I believe only the fronts are non-fading, and that makes sense to me since the majority of the soundstage in almost anything is primarily from the front, such as concerts and such. Thanks for the quick response though..LOL

Yeah, hook up the front RCAs as non fading and use a Y adaptor. You will still be able to use the deck's fader to control the volume of the rear speakers compaired to the front. Get 4 guage wire, put a fuse at the batt, then run it into a fuse block near the amp, then 8ga to the amp. This will allow for expandability in the future should you decide to add more equipment.
