Alpine MRV 1000

How many watts is this thing capable of putting out? I read in a catolog from Alpine that it's something like 1600 watts @ 2 Ohms. I know that it's stable at 2 Ohms only in stereo, so this would lead me to believe that it's 800 watts per channel in stereo at 2 Ohms? I had it pumping two MTX Thunder 3000 10" subs, and it way over powered them. The funny thing was that the amps input was under half. Does anyone know what this thing can power?

I've seen this amp in a '94 MX6 powering 2 Boston Pro Series 12s...this thing can literally power anything. I thought it was 750x2 at 4 ohm...but I could be wrong.

Check it out at www.alpine1.com

i don know of what that amp puts out b/c i don have it where i work but u guys are estimating a little high. the MRV-707 which i have in my car is 225X2 or 600X1, and the MRV-1507 is 450X2 or 1500X1. now the only thing is that alpne rates at 12 volts, and ur car battery runs at about 14 volts, which means they put out abotu 1/3 more power. but ur MRV-1000 should put out some where in the middle of 225X2 and 450X2 at 4 ohms.

The MVR-1000 is offically 100x2 RMS @ 12v. In a car audio mag test, it was almost 300 RMS @ 2 ohms stereo, 14.4v. Bridged at 4 omhs, 14.4v, it was 600 watts RMS.
