If you know how to use a multimeter, you can easily check continuity on all of you speaker leads, as well as check your power lead, etc. If anything needs replacing, you can go to any home improvement store and get speaker wire. You can buy the high-end name brand car audio wiring stuff from stores like Cartoys and such. As far as how to run the wires, just do a search, lots of guys have already written stuff on this board about that. When connecting new speaker wires to the harness, however, take the time to crimp or solder the connectors, never just twist them together and tape em.
